Performance, Alkmini Theatre, Athens 2008–2009, with the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.

The work explores the hysterical fantasies of a woman who cannot conceive of her life without the existence of the phallus. The phallus is personified and often assumes the leading role within the dyadic relationship, which in this way, within her mind, is transformed into a game for three. The male presence—often multiplied according to her mental needs—is decisive. Evil and self-destruction function as processes of awakening and increase of pleasure, each time promising something unique and superior: a beyond, an excessive stretching of the boundaries of the Self, and a hope of Catharsis. Yet the pattern is recycled and more or less repeated, with the only variation being the progression of psychosomatic deterioration and an increasingly blurred gaze in the recognition of the Self in the mirror.
